"Can I cut in?!?"

-6I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.

7-10You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience? This detour doesn't come from the One who called you into the race in the first place. And please don't toss this off as insignificant. It only takes a minute amount of yeast, you know, to permeate an entire loaf of bread. Deep down, the Master has given me confidence that you will not defect. But the one who is upsetting you, whoever he is, will bear the divine judgment.
Galatians 5:6-10

As i look at this scripture, something strikes me. Did you know that you can be running an honest race of faith and be diverted? The worst part of being so deceived that this happens is that you are patiently expecting God to show up and spend time with us, but we are cut off from the Grace-line of Christ! Paul says, "it really doesn't matter what you intended to do, or what happened because you just happened to ignore the truth. Your Faith in Christ being expressed because of your love for Him."

Paul actually says its NOT God's plan, the path that you are on, God's not pleased with it, even if you are following the tenants of Faith. Unless your love for Christ is expressed by your obedience, you get NOWHERE!

James says in his letter, "Faith without Works is dead" (paraphrased from James 2). What kind of works could we EVER do to amount to anything in God's eyes? the only thing we can do is to obey.

I encourage you today, if you have fallen away from the truth of the Gospel and begun embracing:
Sex outside of marriage
Homosexuality, or any other perversion
Substance addiction
self-addiction (being selfish to the point of needing to please ourselves)
negative lifestyles
negative words
Lying,
cheating,

in short those things the bible tells us break our relationship with the Father, REPENT! Turn from those actions, no matter how hard.

Where God guides, God provides,
Mark 10:30
29-31Jesus said, "Mark my words, no one who sacrifices house, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, land—whatever—because of me and the Message will lose out. They'll get it all back, but multiplied many times in homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land—but also in troubles. And then the bonus of eternal life! This is once again the Great Reversal: Many who are first will end up last, and the last first."
